Toan: Would you please tell us something about you and your site?
Dan: Tycoon Blogger is a Tech blog that covers a wide range of topics, from blogging tips, social media, and making money online.  There is also a personal element that chronicles my adventures in blogging and quest to be a famous blogger.

Toan: What got you getting started to build your blog?

Dan: I first started blogging about five years ago and I created a wordpress hosted blog to promote one of my resume writing companies.  It did not take long before I was hooked and then I began creating other niche blogs.

Toan: Where you got idea blogging?
Dan: My initial idea for my first blog was solely to drive traffic to my other sites.

Toan: How to become a professional blogger?
Dan: I think the first step to becoming a pro blogger is to select your niche.  From there start writing, write some more and keep writing.  I know I am over simplifying it a bit but the first thing that you need to do is build up quality content and things will flow from there.

Toan: How long does it take to become a professional blogger?
Dan: If we are defining professional blogging as making money from blogging, I would say it takes at least 6 months to year before you should expect to make any appreciable amount of money.

Toan: Which blogs would you recommend for any beginners starting to blog?
Dan: I think DailyBlogTips.com and Blogussion are great blogs for beginners as well as intermediate level bloggers.

Toan: Which ebooks would you recommend for beginners starting to blog?
Dan: The only ebook that I have ever read is John Chow’s.  It is a great read and I definitely recommend it.

Toan: What are your methods of marketing for your blog?
Dan: I spend a lot of time promoting my blog and share a lot of my tips on my blog.  I get a lot of traffic from commenting on other blogs.  I visit and comment on over one hundred blogs per week.  I am also active with Entrecard and Adgitize and those networks are working well and I am gaining subscribers and daily readers from both of those sources.  I have also embraced Twitter and gain a lot of quality traffic from there as well.

Toan: What did you do when don’t have the idea to blogging?
Dan: I have not been in this position yet.  I have a notebook where I write down ideas whenever they strike me.  I have hundreds of ideas to draw from at this point.

Toan: Did you spend time and money to SEO and advertising your blog?
Dan: My seo work consists of building targeted backlinks.  I have done all of this myself and have not spent any money.  The only advertising money I have spent is on adgetive.  It costs $14 a month but I make about $20 a month back, so they pay me for advertising with them.

Toan: What’s the best way to make money online from blog?
Dan: I am still searching for the answer to that.  Not sure what the best way is but I am making money from adsense, affiliates, selling my writing services and sponsored posts.

Toan: Recommended programs to earn money from your blogs?
Dan: I have been very happy with socialspark.com.  It is very easy to make hundreds of dollars per month writing sponsored posts.  I also think promoting blog theme clubs is a great way to make money.  I am doing well with promoting Elegant Themes.

Toan: How much money did you got in first month blogging?
Dan: I think I made a couple of hundred dollars from one writing project that I was lucky to get from my blog.

Toan: Who do you think are the most professional blogger on the internet?
Dan: I think Nicolas Prudhon does a great job.  I also like Chris Brogan.

Toan: Which blogs do you regularly read?
Dan: I read your blog regularly J I also read ExtremeJohn.com and Serradinho.com every day.

Toan: What are your advice for beginners who starting to blog?
Dan: My advice is too choose your niche wisely and do not give up.  After 3 months you will probably want to quit, 90% of all bloggers do.  Fight that urge and keep writing.
