12 SEO Tips For The Blogger

Today, I will general SEO tips that I used for ChoToan Dot Com in the past time. I hope its will help you improve your blog SEO and make your blog to success.

1) Use SEO theme: Recent times, on the internet having many SEO that very well for friendly with search engines. But I recommend you buy Thesis Theme because now it is the best SEO Wordpress Theme. And if you are using Blogger.com, I recommend you use 6 free SEO friendly blogger templates.

2) Use All in one SEO Plugin And XML Sitemap Plugin: These plugins are very important for SEO with Wordpress blogs. Download All in one SEO Plugin And XML Sitemap Plugin.

3) Use WP-Supper Cache Plugin: This plugin will optimize your blog and make your blog to faster. I am also using this plugin

4) Noindex for RSS Feed: I wrote an article about this. That called Improve SEO By Add Noindex For Your Rss Feed. Very easy to follow.

5) Noindex for tags, categories and archives: if you have added index and follow for your tags, categories and archives that you are wrong. Index for tags, categories and archives will make your blog to duplicate content with your posts. So that make its to noindex is the best way. To noindex for your archives, tags and categories, I used All in one SEO Plugin.

6) Add meta description and meta keywords for your post: if you are using All in one SEO, you will see that at the footer of add new post page. This will make your post to friendly with search engines.

7) Make your Header to H1 at index blog: This will make your header to highlight with search engines and your blog will have high rank with some keywords that you added in your blog.

Make your Headline posts to H1 and Header to H2 in post page: This will make your headline post to more highlight than header in the post page. You can use CSS code to do this. If you no knowledge about CSS, I think you must use Thesis Theme to do this.

9) Add ALT tag for images: This will make your images to higher rank in Google image search. This is also quite important for SEO.

10) URL Friendly: Google are more like http://www.yourblog.com/products/ than http://www.yourblog.com/showthread.php?t=24269. So that just make your url post to friendly by change your url post in Setting –> Premalink —> Add this code in Custom Structure “/%postname%/”.

11) Pick a fast hosting: Hosting is also very important in SEO. I recommend you use Hostgator to have a good hosting.

12) Make “404″ page to usefull: I’m using Thesis Theme so that my 404 pages are very friendly with Search Engines. But with you, you will need to add AskApache Google 404 plugin.
